Bible Study – Wedding Parables of Jesus Christ, What Do They Mean?

Most people love weddings. Oftentimes we plan big wedding celebrations, but do you know that the Bible has so many wedding narratives and parables? Have you ever wondered why? Are these weddings just milestones or are they symbolisms of something grand and something relevant to our salvation?
The Bible starts (Genesis 2:18-25) and ends (Revelation 19:7-8) with a wedding narrative. In His 3½ years of ministry, Jesus Christ told many wedding parables. Interestingly, the Old Testament pictures Israel as betrothed to God while the New Testament church as the bride of Christ. As wedding seems to be an important and familiar theme in the Bible, wouldn’t you want to know more about this?
